Wormholes are
solutions to the Einstein field equations for gravity that act as 'tunnels' connecting points in space and time in such
a way that the trip between the points through the wormhole could take much less time than the trip
through normal space.

WORMHOLE

Reimagining Croydon’s subways

Project description

A public art installation Wormhole is an interactive sculpture that connects two points in space and time in a playful manner. On the street level, we see a large scale sculpture that would be visible from many points and could become
a recognisable landmark.

Underground we see digital screens along the walls. When you start moving they activate and demonstrate the speed you are going, and the numbers on the screens follow you. The faster you go, the faster they go. Perhaps you can prove Einstein’s theory?
